Project Summary

The project involved the installation of two dissolved oxygen monitors on an aeration lane that uses  surface aeration. The monitors were installed and then left maintenance free to compare the performance of optical and galvanic sensors

Added Value/Benefits

Both systems are running after three years with no maintenance. The performance of the different technologies is very similar. It has been shown that provided the monitors are fitted   The new systems run without reagent. This has reduced the number of site visits needed.
