Project Summary

During the 2007 flooding of Thames Water’s Grimsbury plant, which saw the loss of all it’s vital analytical equipment, it was essential that water treatment operations could be recommenced as quickly as possible. In order to achieve this, Thames Water worked selected Analytical Technology to supply cost effective, high-quality instrumentation, with first class customer support and rapid response times.

By working with ATi, Thames Water was able to quickly recover from the flooding and continued to serve its network of 13.5 million customers within 8 weeks.

Project Scope

Added Value/Benefits

By selecting ATi’s monitoring instrumentation, Thames Water was able to optimise the recovery time of its Banbury treatment works. The intuitive interface of the monitors enables operators to easily maintain the instruments in calibration, and the chlorine monitors help to achieve compliance with EU directives, as well as the stringent internal guidelines set out by Thames Water. ATi’s monitors work within the parameters required by these directives.

Additionally, Thames Water found the service from ATi ‘excellent’, including technical backup, support with spare parts and help and advice often involving site attendance.
